WES ICAP or WES Basic?

Hi:

With your great suggestions,I've started my due diligence on getting my bachelors degree in IT :but I haven't made any final decision on any institution yet.I really want all my previous credits/courses/degrees get evaluated by WES first before I apply to any school in US.

WES has several options and I dont know which one is good in my case :

WES ICAP (has three options ) and WES Basic ( has three options.)

Which one do I need if I havent applied to any school yet,but wanna apply as a transfer student next month or so?... or am I doing this all wrong?

Hello,

You need the WES ICAP that is at $205. Most schools require course by course equivalency evaluations from any agency.
The fees are pretty much identical through each agency. Again, it has to be the course by course option.

You need to click the link at the bottom of the WES Evaluation Types page: Compare Types of Evaluation
This will popup showing you the difference, the $160 WES Basic is missing the part to "send to Institutions" otherwise, it would have been the choice to go with.

You do need a course-by-course evaluation, but you do not need ICAP. ICAP service provides schools you send the report to with WES-verified transcripts. Not all schools accept transcripts from WES and may require you to send in original transcripts along with the WES evaluation anyway.
