What do you mean? Most schools report enrollment data to NSC for Title IV (financial aid) purposes. They need to report half-time and full-time status to stay compliant. Do you mean schools will only check your records when you apply? I don't know why you insist on encouraging the OP that nothing bad will happen when violating schools' rules. If you personally want to chance it, then do so. Doing these things can have serious consequences, so one should be careful when telling others to break rules and at least tell them what could potentially happen.

I've found more information about what employers need to use their verification services.

Quote:In accordance with the Clearinghouse's service terms and conditions, you can only submit an online verification request for a student who has applied for employment with the organization you represent or who has applied for a discount, product, or service dependent on their student status. In some cases, schools will not research their records for the student's information until they see a signed and dated written consent from the student authorizing the release of the information to you. As the school's agent, the Clearinghouse may require you to fax a copy of the student's consent to us. Upon receipt of our request, you must fax a copy of the signed consent to us within two (2) business days. If we do not receive the faxed consent from you within two business days, your request will be closed without verification.

Quote:Schools participating in Verification Services provide the Clearinghouse with electronic copies of their historical degree and attendance records, as well as periodic updates. Employers and their agents request academic records at Verification Services Portal | National Student Clearinghouse, entering personal information about the subject of their search (e.g., subject's name, Social Security number, birth date, etc.). The Clearinghouse uses this information to find the exact subject in question and provide the requestor with an immediate verification of the subject's academic credentials.

Students who do not seek financial aid should apply To college without providing their SS# . It helps keep info from databases.

All I am saying if your motivation is to get 6 degrees at the big 3, when you apply be honest, and list every institution you have attended and received credit at. Since you are applying you are not actually enrolled at the big 3. This is a very honest answer. Continue to not take a single class at the big 3. Take tests, and any other form people use to graduate at the big 3. Then transfer all of the credits at the end, capstone everyone at the same time and graduate at the same time. That would be your best bet to achieve the 6 degrees without popping up on the NSC. You would just have to weigh your risk to reward factors at this point. Who needs that many degrees?

What if I do not want my information to be available?
Individuals may opt‐out of having even their limited individual Directory Information made available to others by contacting the registrar
at their educational institution and filing a “Directory Information Block” or “FERPA Block.” The institution will then notify the
Clearinghouse to block the record.

and of course this is not legal advice blah blah blah enter at your own risk. Of course not encouraging anyone to do this.

Respectfully, this forum has maintained a pretty high standard of integrity for as long as I can remember. While I'm sure there are ways to break the rules without getting caught, I'm not sure what the reward /pay off would be or why you're so invested in helping people down that road? Perhaps if it's your plan, you could just keep it to yourself?

EDIT: anyone here who holds a degree from TESC signed a statement in their graduation pack that said they were not enrolled elsewhere as a degree seeking student. I signed it twice.
