I'm going to enroll in SL next month and complete Accounting 1 & 2. I am trying to get my hands on the textbooks needed for the course inexpensively. SL, of course, says I need the latest and newest, which is outrageously priced. I understand the difficulties with using an older edition and am totally fine with using one. Has anyone recently completed these courses and have the textbooks still lying around? I'm willing to buy them as long as they're less than I can find on Amazon--like I said my goal is inexpensive.
Thanks a ton!

I ordered mine from Abe Books (
AbeBooks Official Site - New & Used Books, Textbooks, & Rare Books). Total cost was $17 ($10 for the book and $7 for the shipping). I received the book in a few days and it was in excellent condition. Abe Books sourced my book from A Book Heaven, San Diego so try searching for that seller. Accounting 1 and 2 with SL use the same book, so you only have to buy one book and you should be able to find the required edition for that price.
If you decide to use Abe Books be sure to review the product descriptions and shipping conditions (like you would with Amazon) - some sellers won't have an included CD or other extras. Mine didn't have the CD but I didn't need it anyway. Oh, 1 more thing - they sell lots of teacher additions of books and I'm not sure whats different about them compared the student books (beside the obvious - they have the answers) but maybe theres a difference, so double check the product descriptions.
