I will be applying for my CE to teach Math in NJ early next year and have a few questions. Has anyone obtained a teaching credential using CLEP, DSST, or ACE to complete some of the 30 required subject credits? I will have 23 regular math credits where 13 will be junior/senior. I will also have 6 CLEP and 9 ACE(Aleks) for a total of 38. I would imagine some other people here might have an answer because the DOE has not been too helpful so far.
Thanks,
Dave

If you have used the credits for a degree or have credit banked them with EC or TESC I cant imagine they wouldnt, the only question might be the UL/LL ratio,if they have one.
Call the local hiring folks and ask them, tell them its for Math and they will prob drive over with lunch.

Sorry for the typo in the subject line. I have covered all of the UL classes with regular courses and would just be filling out the LL with 1 CLEP and 2 Ace courses. I was just hoping someone had already done this.
