I have searched this forum, the ACE website, the TESC website, and the web in general and cannot figure out which CBE's TESC accepts as "Upper Level" credit. Does anyone know of a list? I became interested when I saw that the ** items on Instantcert marked as UL were not honored on the COSC on their master list of CBE as UL. Prior to seeing the COSC list I assumed the IC ** were correct. Example - just passed the World Religion DSST thinking it was UL and then looked at the COSC list to see that it was not for them. I am mainly interested in TESC because we want to test out of as many credits as possible (too many UL req for COSC to do that). I can't find a similar list for TESC.
I just want to make sure I know which exams will qualify for the 18 required UL credits required by TESC.

Send UptonSinclair a PM. He has a wonderful spreadsheet that incorporates SL, PF, CLEP DSST, TECEP, ECE all in one place and he notes the UL exams in red.

oh my... thank you sanantone for pointing out my stupidity so kindly. I now see that TESC adds numbers beside the course it covers and those numbers tell me if it is upper level or lower. Sorry for the wasted post!!!
Bricacrac - I would love a copy of that spreadsheet. The link posted does not work for me. I will contact Upton Sinclair - thanks so much.

I was just researching this myself yesterday. The 18 UL. Do they have to apply to the major or can they apply anywhere? I'm refering to TESC on this one. I believe some degree plans are different, but lets say it says
"Courses transferred to Thomas Edison State College are equated to the following levels: 100, 200, 300 or 400. A minimum of 18 credits equating to 300 or 400 are required."
If you're major requires 32 credits...all 32 can be lower as long as 18 hit somewhere else?

If anyone wants to make a copy and start keeping it up to date, feel free. I don't have time to keep up on it at the moment. I am enrolled in 11 credits this semester including Chem and Trig.

I am interested in this as well.
Also - am I reading the TESC website correctly - do they accept the Environmental Science (Race to save the planet) DSST test to satisfy the general education science requirement. Would that work?

18 UL credits are required in the area of study for the BA degrees with the liberal arts capstone counting toward that requirement. A maximum of six 100-level credits are allowed in the area of study. The BSBA degrees require 12 UL credits in the area of study. The BSAST degrees require 12 UL credits in the area of study with the required Current Trends and Application and Project Management courses counting toward that requirement.

Thank you. That seems pretty liberal actually. What I mean, doable. Like some of the big Universities here require 40 credit hours in a major with maybe 25-30 being in that area. Depending on the major once picks. Some of the big majors here are like 60 GE, 50 Major, and 10 Free Electives. Talking about the big science programs mostly.
