RA Credit Classes for Admission Into TESU

Hii! It's me again... So I'm starting my RA classes for my BA In Psychology and I made a list of RA Credit classes that I'll be taking so I just wanted  to run these classes by all the beautiful people on this Forum. I need to take these first for admission Into TESU so I'm not sure If I should take all my Gen Ed's as RA or my AOS classes as RA... But anyways, here they are: 

1. Principles of Psychology- TEL Learning 
2. United States History I - TEL Learning 
3. United States History II - TEL Learning 
4. Introduction to Christianity - TEL Learning 
5. American Government - TEL Learning 
6. Introductory Reading and Writing - TEL Learning 
7. Europe and the Mediterranean: Ancient and Medieval - HST 102 - ASU Earned Admission 
8. Human Origins - ASM 246 - ASU Earned Admission  

All are 3 credits 
Has anyone taken these courses yet? how hard are they?  I'd just like a general Idea of how hard these (RA) courses are so I can prepare myself for all the pain and suffering I'll be experiencing throughout these 1 to 2 years..

Intro Reading & Writing won't work - it's considered Developmental and you won't get credit for it. Instead, take Language & Composition which is considered English Comp I.

Also, you don't have to take them for admission into TESU - you just need to take them before you can graduate.

I would do these courses, I think it's easier to find these GE courses as RA, rather than trying to get them as your AOS courses.

And, EA/ASU is pricy for GE's (IMHO).

RA gen eds are usually MUCH cheaper than RA AOS courses. RA AOS courses are also more difficult to find. So it's much better to use gen eds to fill out your RA credit requirement.

The ASU classes are more expensive than TEL Learning but I found those particular courses you've chosen to be pretty easy. Reviews can be found here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...UIdaho-etc Hopefully, we'll soon have people reviewing TEL Learning courses as well.

I went through some of the Amerian History II modules which took me only 5 min each so the entire course would take 1 hour.  Then the writing, exams maybe 10 hours whole course. 

Use the pdf just reading only the bold print and answers keys speeds things along. 
(only works for easy courses you have prior knowledge in)

When I compare the questions so say Saylor quizzes, the TEL learning ones are pretty easy.  If you can average 80% on all the open-book stuff, you only need like 50% on the proctored finals to pass.

Soo sorry for the late reply, I just started working at Tesla and I'm still trying to figure out my schedule and routine but anyways, you're saying If I can get an 80% score on the TEL Learning quizzes, I can manage to pass the class with a 50% on the final exam?   
If that's the case, sign me up! 
(I'm just a little terrified of school because I think I might be a little inarticulate when it comes to studying, but I know If I put In the time, I'm sure I can graduate In 1 to 2 years!)

Thank you Dfrecore, I really appreciate It mate. I have a few questions though; How hard do you think is the TEL Learning Language & Composition compared to Sophia's English Comp 1? 
Can enroll into TESU right now without having ANY prior credits? Rachel said I needed to take 24 credits worth of classes from RA sources and then apply for admission Into TESU then take the Medical Terminology exam/course for the quickest possible enrollment. 
Also, would you recommend doing all my Sophia courses first or my RA courses first and then Sophia and SDC...?

Also, could I complete all my RA credits from ASU EA rather than TEL? Because I have no Idea how hard the TEL learning courses are, so I was thinking If I could take some easy classes to fill out my RA credits from ASU EA and then take all my Gen Ed from Sophia because I believe they would be easier than let's say, TEL Learning courses.. 

What do you think?

"Getting back into the groove" and "getting used to online learning" are exactly why I signed up for ASU EA classes initially. I didn't think I needed them (turns out I did, because of TESU's new policy!) but I wanted to see what "real" college was like, compared to Sophia. It worked well for that. Only having to pay $25 to upgrade the course to for-credit, unless and until you pass the ASU class, is a great feature of this program, too! This is especially good if you have anxieties about schooling.

Also, you have a few months to decide if you want to pay the $400 to transcript the class. If, after taking a few ASU classes, you decide that you're confident enough to try tackling TEL Learning courses, you could do this and leave the ASU classes in your dashboard while you did TEL Learning.

If you have the money and want to take all 8 RA classes at ASU, I'd say go for it. Yes, TEL costs less but sometimes you have to pay a bit more for something that better suits your needs. When looking for other ASU classes to take, I have a few suggestions: do NOT take chemistry unless you have a solid chemistry background AND it is the only class you're taking. Chemistry is, unfortunately, 5x the work of the average ASU EA class. Any of the classes in my signature would be good (depending on your interests) but do be warned that Astronomy is especially math-heavy. If you hate math or you aren't good with math, you might want to do something else. I believe it's still possible to get at least a C even if you do badly on the math sections, though.

I think this Is just what I’m going to do, take a few ASU EA classes to get back Into the rhythm of studying. Also because I really like the “pay after you pass” system. I think I can afford It because as you said, “find something that better suits your needs”, and this Is perfect.

Based on what you've said, I think that sounds perfect. With one minor adjustment: you might want to consider taking English Comp I & II at ASU instead of at Sophia. Sophia grading for these courses can be a bit... "iffy" and this is especially true of II. There are multiple threads on the forum here about this and, since you need the RA credit anyway, the ASU courses are worth considering. 

Also, you don't have to do it right now but you're probably going to want to apply & enroll at TESU by June whether or not you've completely finished with ASU/Sophia. Doing this means that any further policy/catalog changes that might happen in July will have less of an impact on your plans.

I'm not Rachel, but both of us are taking somewhat similar paths.

Go on over to https://ea.asu.edu right now and register for an account if you don't already have one. It'll take them about a week to get your account set up and working, so make sure to do it now to be ready for the classes starting next week.
Once you get access, spend an hour reading through the "fundamentals of earned admission" class, which contains important information about their policies and orients you to their online system.
Next, it's time to sign up for classes. I'd recommend that you start with ENG 101 and SOC 101. Both of these are manageable entry-level required courses. The initial sign up for a course is free and takes just a few clicks. Once the course starts, immediately login to the course and take a look at the content and assignments. If you like it, you have a week or two after the start date to verify your ID and pay $25 in order to get credit for the course. Consider adding a third class after looking at the time and effort for the first two.
