This probably doesn't matter to most students here, but I just saw the notification about more lessons being added to certain SDC courses: https://support.study.com/support/soluti...ng-courses
As of March 4th, Political Science 102: American Government, English 305: Advanced Technical Writing, Business 109: Intro to Computing, and Math 103: Precalculus will have additional lessons added. If you take the final exam before that date, you don't have to do the additional lessons. If you want to take the exam after, you will have to do the additional lessons first.

Their American Government class covers way more than any American Government class I've taken. Looks like they're adding a LOT of lessons to these classes. Hurry up if you're taking or planning on taking them. I wonder why they're adding content to these courses.

Possibly to allow Poli Sci 102 to be used at TESU (and possibly other schools) for the Civic Engagement/American Government requirement again. But InstantCert is still probably cheaper and easier. Heck, even Saylor might be a better option for TESU students.

I'm guessing ACE asked them to beef up the courses, but not sure. Just my guess.

I think that is a reasonable guess. If the certification organization asks for it to be beefed up, SDC isn't going to just do the minimum to squeak by, they are going to hammer it to make sure they don't lose certification.
As with everything we discuss here, procrastination is never your friend. We try to find the easiest way to do this stuff but it is nearly guaranteed not to get easier in the future. Find the time and money to do this now if you can.

Yes, they've been updating their courses with newer content, some providers will need to as well, it's not just Study.com... ACE provides the initial recommendation for credit, and also does a quality check, provides a list of required modifications and rechecks those outcomes. It's a revolving cycle to provide a better quality course set...

I was notified while taking my last class that they were making changes by 1/31. They explained that they were adding lessons but they also had a list of all of the lessons they were removing. It seemed like they were updating lessons and making certain lessons more relevant. The lesson count might have gone up a little but it seemed to be more of an even swap. I did make sure to finish by 1/31.

More changes/additions to English 305 as of the 18th. Looking closer, some of the additions look pretty interesting.
