Did I take the wrong Aleks class? I took Beginning Algebra which ace recommends at 3LL math credits but Excelsior is the only one that appears to accept it according to the transcripts I got back from all 3. Anyone have experience with this exact class?.

TESC doesn't take it for college credit. ACE recommendations are just a guide and schools still make the final call. TESC will take intermediate algebra and the others. They do duplicate some of the higher math courses if you take them so you need to ask the school if you seek credit for multiple courses related to algebra, trig, precalc, or stats.
CLEP or DSST courses with the same name duplicate as well although you can take CLEP College Mathematics on its own.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

COSC took it as a general ed class, but did NOT give math class credit. I still have to go back and take Intermediate Algebra to meet their requirements. Not a total loss...at least they gave me 3 credits for it.

Most schools consider Beginning and even Intermediate Algebra to be remedial. Excelsior's standard is honestly the lowest I've seen of any college - even a lot of community colleges wouldn't count a beginning algebra class toward a degree.
If you're going to go back into ALEKS anyway, I would encourage you to complete College Algebra at a minimum, unless you genuinely have no intention of ever attending school at anywhere other than the Big 3.
