Universities need pathways to postgrad
#1
I totally agree with pathways or articulations between institutions, such as the one mentioned in the article.  KPU and St George's agreement: 4+4 degree Medical Degree.  They're not the first as St George's has several agreements in place with schools within Canada, US and more...  Link: https://thepienews.com/the-view-from/in-...education/  Here's a sample list I've created.

Caribbean Medical School with articulations:
American University of Antigua: https://www.auamed.org/why-aua/program-agreements/
Avalon University School of Medicine: https://www.canfield.access-k12.org/1/News/2495
Saint James School of Medicine: https://www.cimtcollege.com/cimt/news.aspx?id=1221
St. George's University School of Medicine: https://www.sgu.edu/academic-programs/sc...tnerships/
Trinity School of Medicine: https://www.irsc.edu/news/articles/2020-...rship.html
University of Medicine and Health Sciences: https://www.prweb.com/releases/universit...452337.htm
Xavier University School of Medicine: https://xusom.com/articulation-agreements/

Combined BA/MD List of articulations:

Veterinary Medicine Agreements/Articulations:
Ross University: https://veterinary.rossu.edu/admissions/...agreements
St. Matthew's University School of Medicine: https://www.easternflorida.edu/academics...eement.pdf

US Regionally Accredited + Nationally Accredited Health Care Sciences:
Maryland University of Integrative Health: https://muih.edu/admissions/articulation-agreements/

My list of Caribbean Medical Schools Spreadsheet, just change USAT with UHHVI...  Yup, and you're up to date!: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing

Any reason for not adding that one? Any information about them we should know about?

Is there any medical school where I can get a proper phlebotomy education? I've tried to find anything interesting in Utah, but my searching was a waste of time. I need a Phlebotomy Technician PBT (ASCP) Certification and it seems not that difficult to achieve. Wanna join a program with accreditation from the NAACLS. I've found here: https://phlebotomynearyou.com/phlebotomy-certification/ that there are such programs in Fairfax, VA, and Washington DC, maybe in some other states too. What about Utah? And are there any post-grad education programs for that kind of specialization?

This is from wikipedia
"special state certification in the United States is required only in four states: CaliforniaWashingtonNevada, and Louisiana. A phlebotomist can become nationally certified through many different organizations. However, California currently only accepts national certificates from six agencies. These include the American Certification Agency (ACA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), National Center for Competency Testing/Multi-skilled Medical Certification Institute (NCCT/MMCI), National Credentialing Agency (NCA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), and the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE).[9] These and other agencies also certify phlebotomists outside the state of California. To qualify to sit for an examination, candidates must complete a full phlebotomy course and provide documentation of clinical or laboratory experience."

With that in mind I'm not sure what you mean when you use the term "post-graduate education programs" because you don't even need any kind of degree to be a Phlebotomist.

I have a few questions; I was wondering the following:

1. What is the Tuition? I understand there are 5 terms (20 months/16 weeks each), it is 4 grand USD for each term.  That means, the 5 terms would be 20 grand USD. Correct?
2. What degrees or programs are offered?  Is it just the Basic Medical Sciences (20 months) and the Clinical Experience (76 weeks)?  Are there any other programs, such as a Pre-Med first year?  Or a graduate certificate, diploma, degree?
3. I noticed the option for "Full Time" on-campus and Independent Study.  How many days does a student have to be on-campus if they are going the Independent Study route?
4. What accreditation does the school have?  Do graduates get an opportunity for residency placement in Canada, US, or any other country such as India or anywhere else in the Caribbean?
5. Are there tuition discounts/scholarships?  Such as "bulk" group purchase, for example, 5 students pay full price, the 6th student gets the tuition free.  This way, we can all save by getting a discount off.

Thank you for your time, I really appreciate more details in regards to your school.

A few days back I mailed to Mr <my cousin> regarding this.

As I said COMHSSL is struggling with accreditation. 17 Caribbean schools are slapped with a draconian imposition of CAAM-HP who charges $500K /accreditation. That is why I said I can arrange another accredited school in the same region...

1. Since accredited, so tuitions will increase but I will try to negotiate and more students will give you power to negotiate.
2. In Caribbean most schools conduct 1 year Premedical course. I can arrange any degree, diploma in any subject from INDIA online. In one visit students can take final exam and get degree certificate.
3. A couple of months required to take exams and get certificate
4. Residency in USA needs passing of 3 USMLEs with 90% marks. Caribbean was a great route earlier but now appearance of CAAM-HP spoiling the broth. I can arrange NEPAL or for specialty training in India.
5. Bulk recruitment will be paid with a free student ( to be negotiated)
