Does Penn Foster allow you to take only certain courses with them?
I just called and the rep said I have to join a program and couldn't just take a specific course.
I am working on a BSBA through TESC and I wanted to take some Criminal Justice classes for my electives since I have an interest in it.
If I can, what is the tuition?

Just a helpful tidbit: No one at PF has any idea what they are talking about
PS. I'm pretty sure someone on here's daughter or something took random classes, I don't think she actually enrolled.

I took information literacy through PF. 1 credit course and I am not enrolled any any degree programs. I believe I paid about 115 for the 1 credit course.

Call Marianne at workforce development in Penn Foster. She is the one that can get you the courses you need. Check out www2.acenet.edu to find the PF courses that are ace approved.

You probably called the PF college number.
To enroll in individual courses you have to call their Business and Industrial # at 1-800-233-0259. Mary Beth is also great.

Penn Foster College - Catalog
My last PF class was September 2010 and the tuition was $270 for 3cr course (includes textbook) plus the $15.95 shipping fee for course materials.
Check first on ACE website the courses you want are ACE approved because some of the PF courses are not.

Call and ask to speak to Mary-Beth, she'll help you. You might have to call a few times before you get a hold of her, but once you do explain to her your looking to take one college level course. Don't get into whole what class will transfer etc. etc. because it just complicates the process.

IMHO, even if true, still a bargain for a TESC student looking for UL credit.
