I graduated high school in 2000 and have the physical diploma and transcripts which I've scanned and sent to UMPI. They are unable to accept it because its not sent by the school. I've contacted the high school and said that, legally, they are not allowed to email transcripts to any outside organisation (they don't have a copy anyway).
Has anyone else dealt with this before? Is there any way to circumvent this? I've managed to track down a university transcript from 2000 - does anyone know if that will suffice or at least prove that I graduated high school given that I was enrolled in university? My high school are also happy to send a letter, with their letterhead, from their official email stating my name, date of birth and my year of graduation. Not sure if that is helpful in any way.
The deadline of submitting all paperwork is two days away and I'm worried I'm not going to make it. I'm going to be unable to enrol in the subsequent semester as I will be starting a new job. I really need to get into the upcoming term and knock out the bulk of the work over Jan and Feb.

Does anyone know if they accept a high school certificate from New South Wales in Australia? Note that the transcripts are not GPA format but a percentage. Will I have to have them accredited by WES?

I would ask the HS what their process is for sending transcripts to colleges for graduates that are applying. It may require you fill out a form and they mail it, but I am certain there is a process they utilize for current HS seniors applying to college(s). Also, you should be sending any existing college transcripts you have anyway (and that may make you a transfer student vs a new student - possibly bypassing the need for the HS transcript). 2000 is just not that long ago to believe that the school system in a country as advanced as Australia doesn't have the records; although they may not be held with the school itself (maybe handled by the school department or other agency).

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to bypass the admissions requirements set by the U of M system. There has to be a way to get high school transcript. You may have to check with various government agencies to find out what happens to records in Australia.

I've found a way for the issuing authority to send the high school diploma and transcripts today. To set my expectations, Jessica has said that it is unlikely to be accepted without accreditation from WES. She has offered up an option to enrol into a non degree course for the upcoming term and transfer the credits to the subsequent term. The only issue is that none of the classes seem to be available on yourpace (I've searched BUS/ENG/HUM 100/200/300 classes).

You posted multiple times on Discord and I responded there, but I'll respond here for others. YourPace courses are not in the scheduling system on MaineStreet. Your academic advisor has to register you for courses. There are literally dozens of BUS courses available in YourPace.

Thanks again for your help. At this point, its a foregone conclusion that I will miss the deadline for the Spring 2 term unless Jessica accepts my high school diploma without it being evaluated by WES which is extremely unlikely to happen.
Yet another couple of questions - will I need WES ICAP or Basic to have my high school diploma evaluated, and is there anything I can do for the intervening 2 months in preparation for admission to the Spring 2 term? I've already completed all the Sophia, Coursera, and SDC courses.

There's no way to prep for UMPI courses. Enjoy your break so you'll be ready to go once you start your UMPI classes.
The Spring 2 deadline isn't for quite awhile so I'm not sure how you know you'll miss the deadline for Spring 2. It's not up to Jessica about accepting the high school diploma. It's up to administrators. They tend to be picky with international documents. Even in the US, transcripts have to be sent from the source.

Yes, take a break, if you really need to 'learn' or get some extra knowledge, check out the cheapies/freebies on the WIKI or the search options for them, such as the ones that have ACE or RA credit.
