That doesn't necessarily mean anything. People choose jobs for a variety of reasons aside from the monetary aspect of it. Higher paying IT jobs tend to come with a LOT of stress. Getting a cheaper degree means that you don't HAVE to take a stressful job just to pay off your student loans. You have the luxury of picking and choosing which jobs to take.
