ULondon & Coursera

I've heard that all students in UoL get the same UoL degree.
But I think transcript may be different?

I don't know ... but it's obviously much easier to get into UoL external program than their on-campus programs.

There was a time when all components of the University of London (like LSE, UCL and London Business School) offered the same University of London degree similar to what is done in state university systems like University of California.  My ex-boss's LSE degree hanging from her wall says "University of London" on top.  Today, however, most component schools have been given permission to award their own degrees, so one gets an LSE degree now instead of a University of London degree.  University of London degrees are pretty much limited to the online component now, together with a few smaller specialized component colleges.  So if someone says they graduated from the University of London, you can be pretty certain they are referring to the online/distance learning school.

No, you're misunderstanding.

University of London is an online / distance learning school just like University of Phoenix.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University..._Worldwide

When we talk about UoL on Coursera, it's University of London Worldwide program. It's an unranked distance learning institution.

It has no strict admission standard.
non-English speakers can get in as well.

Goldsmiths, University of London is a real university. It's ranked.
Queen Mary, University of London is a real university. It's ranked too.
University of London Worldwide is an unranked distance learning branch.  Employers know that too.

Wikipedia literally says that the diploma will indicate which institution gave the instruction. Worldwide is just an administrative arm. The Coursera pages tell you which University of London brick and mortar campus is awarding the degree. The two schools are Goldsmiths and Royal Holloway.

No, I've asked University of London directly.

They said, if you graduate from Coursera program, you become just 'UoL' graduate but not 'UoL, Goldsmiths' or 'UoL, Royal Holloway'.
You can't say you're Goldsmiths or Royal Holloway graduate on your resume.

If you can't believe, go ahead and ask UoL by yourself.

According to the Goldsmiths website, they don't award their own degrees; University of London awards their degrees.

Yes, but you still don't become the Goldsmiths graduate by completing Coursera program.
You become UoL Worldwide graduate.
You can ask to UoL here:

if u are really so conscious about a UOL degree then you could

1) don't take it
2) finish year 1 and 2 via cousera then transfer onto campus for the final year and graduate on campus

but tbh i don't know why anyone would want to tell people they're from Goldsmith. It's like a bottom barrel kinda university.

Employers know virtually nothing about US schools, don't know the difference between RA and NA, couldn't tell you what a Regional Accrediting body is, couldn't name 25 US schools...and you're going to tell me they know UofL?  I think not.

Transfer and graduate on campus? Yeah that's easy for everyone.
