UL ECE Psychology Exams
#1
FYI - I have read numerous times that the best order to take these exams regarding material overlap is as follows:

Abnormal Psych
Adulthood & Aging
Gerontology

Followed by Research Methods in Psych, which probably shares little if any overlap with the exams above.

It appears that IC will have Abnormal up in about a month allowing everybody to test in this order.Smile

Does this order still hold true? Where would ECE Social Psych fit into the order?

IMHO, I would take them in the following order

1. Abnormal Psych (Not tied in with the others)

2. Research Methods in Psych (experimental model tied in with remaining tests)

3. Gerontology and Adulthood & Aging Study BOTH of the guides before you take either one as there is a lot of overlap between the two, them take them as close as you can to each other, but I don't recommend the same day as they are very long tests.

4. Social Psych

And yes, IC is enough to pass all of these with A's & B's, please see this forum's new section for detailed feedback on each test. Good luck! Lee

Awesome, thanks! Too bad that's $1,000 worth of tests right there! But, I have to plow through them.

I was told on May 16th that I needed Statistics and four UL Psych tests. The advisor said I could take Organizational Behavior, Research Methods, Adulthood and Aging and Gerontology.

I passed Stats on Friday.

I registered yesterday for Organizational Behavior, Research Methods and Adulthood and Aging. I held off on registering for Gerontology - a was afraid the advisor I spoke to made a mistake and that it would duplicate Adulthood and Aging. I sent them an email to clarify the matter.

It looks like you are all taking both of them. Are you working on Psych degrees from Excelsior?

I hope I can take them both. If I can, I will probably take OB first, followed by Research Methods in Psychology, then the Adulthood and Aging, Gerontology pair.

I heard back from Excelsior and can take the Adulthood and Aging, Gerontology pair.

I scheduled my last four tests today:

June 5th Organizational Behavior
June 11th Research Methods in Psychology
June 15th Psychology of Adulthood and Aging
June 15th Foundations of Gerontology

If I pass these four it will give me 65 credits in 62 days. Thanks to InstantCert!

If I do pass these last four ECE tests to complete my degree requirements on the 15th of June. Does anyone know when I would actually get my degree? July? August?

Thank you all very much,
Doug

IC alone will get you an A in Research Methods and Adulthood and Aging. I only scored a B on Gerontology and a C on Organizational Behavior (OB) using IC alone. I would recommend supplementing these two exams with another source, especially the OB exam. Remember, the IC OB material was designed for the Dantes LL version. It will get you a C but I can't imagine much better unless you have a lot of knowledge on the subject going in.

You may slide in by Jul 15th, IF you stay on the phone with them checking your test results, you graduation intensions, and pay all your fees as soon as you can.

Thanks for the great advice. I will definately do some supplementing for the OB exam. I think four A's will get me over 3.0 for a GPA.

AND Thank you Basket Weaver. I will try to stay on them. July 15th would be perfect.
