Hello,
Have any of you received credit at Thomas Edison for courses completed with The Game Institute? While Excelsior accepts credits earned through The Game Institute, the company does not appear offer ACE evaluated courses or have a direct partnership agreement with TESC. It would be nice to find a way to transfer The Game Institute credits to TESC....
Sincerely,
Ben

I haven't myself, but I did google The Game Institute and found where Excelsior College does:
Video Game Design at the GameInstitute.com - Support System
I don't really think that TESC will since these courses are not ACE approved. However, there's no harm in contacting them to find out for sure. Tell 'em that Excelsior College does and who knows? Perhaps you could transfer them to TESC via Excelsior's credit bank? Good luck with this, let us all know what you find out!

I've contacted TESC. We'll see what I learn. :-)

TESC said that they would be unable to accept the credits even if they came through Excelsior's credit bank.

That's too bad because this would have been the lowest cost distance learning option for Discrete Math.

Weird, if I recall correctly TESC appeared on a list of colleges at the game institute website.

You probably saw it here:
Video Game Design at the Game Institute - Enhanced Learning
It looks like you can take their courses for college credit, but only through TESC or one of the other colleges listed, instead of through the Institute itself.
The exception is Excelsior College. If you need to take many of these courses for your degree that could be something in favor of going to EC instead of TESC.
