BUS 415 - Operations Management
#1
Has anybody else taken this course?  This is my first time doing a power point for a UMPI class and I'm at a bit of a loss.  I really wish there were samples so we had a full understanding of the objectives.  Can anyone provide a sample of theirs so I get an idea what I need to accomplish?

Thanks!

I took the class and the Final Assessment has changed since I took it. You should reach out to the professor for help. I cannot share my Final Assessment as that would violate the UMPI honor code. A Google search shows you how to create PowerPoint presentations. Lots of YouTube videos on it.

If you struggle with the final, please talk you your professor. I assume it's Prof. Dorsey - she is very nice person and she would be glad to help you.

I don't think she's teaching nearly as many courses now. She's a Vice Chancellor in the U of M system now. She's no longer the Director of YourPace either. She is an AWESOME professor! I really enjoyed having her for many classes. I agree though about reaching out to the professor if you're struggling. That's what they're there for!

Yeah, it might be different professor now. She told me that for the last session she had 45 students for BUS415 alone - on the top of a gazillion of other duties.

I just finished this course and had Professor Dorsey. I’m sure she would be more than willing to assist. I would YouTube on how to create a PowerPoint and look at tutorials on adding the voice-over if you follow the Rubric if it’s straightforward. The case study is in the assignment, and applying your experience or learnings will help you come to terms with your recommendation to complete the project. I typically write out my outline first and then create slides based on my outline.

I just completed this course last term with Chancellor Dorsey and she was so wonderful with feedback. I even missed a slide and she emailed me and allowed me the chance to add that slide in after I had already submitted the final draft so she could give me a better grade. She truly wants to see you succeed. If you're having trouble getting started, definitely reach out to her (if she is the professor). She will help!! Smile

You are lucky. I missed one file from 4 files for my BUS 200 assignments and the professor won't accept my late file but he gave me B+ so it was the only B+ I got. So it really depends on the instructor of how nice they will be.  Big Grin
