Transcripts advice please

I am in the process of ordering transcripts for COSC, can you tell me if I can order them electronically or do I have to send them paper?
I also need to know if I actually order all of them from ACE or do I have to order from the individual class locations?

I'm assuming that you're sending from other places to COSC? Rather than from COSC to somewhere else?

You have to go to the source of your credits and request a transcript be sent to the school. You can't send anything yourself, even if you were to order a transcript - it has to go directly from the source to the school you're applying to.

Normally, you would have to go to each place individually. If you have CLEP, DSST, SL - things like that, and haven't sent them to ACE, then you'll need to request your transcripts from those places separately. BUT, if every course you've taken is already on your ACE transcript, then you only need to order that and have it sent. They do it electronically, and quickly.

Not entirely true. It's possible to get a sealed transcript from a school and then send THAT in...not that I recommend it. Some people do that when they get a certain number of free transcripts and don't know where they want to send them. Also, some schools will send it electronically, if both schools allow for it. It can also be handy to order a copy for yourself while you're doing it. I did and was glad when it came time to apply to grad school. I was able to scan my old CC transcript and send it in with the application. I'll only have to send in an official one if I get accepted.

Some (many) schools will not take a transcript that has your name on it, meaning that it has been mailed to you first. They even will have it stated on their websites, that it must be mailed/sent directly to them from the source.

I agree that it may be nice to have your own copy. I have all of mine.
