I've done some looking around on the forum to find some answers but I'm still foggy on some things.
I have been testing for about two years - on and off - now. I have over 30 credits. I'm not ready to sign up with my college (TESC) yet so I haven't been sending my scores anywhere.
I heard about ACE and I got an account last night...but I'm not quite clear on how it works either. I can't upload any of the courses I've taken for some reason. Am I supposed to request that my scores are sent there? Or...something else?
And from looking around on here, there seems to be a split on ACE. Some use it and recommend it, some don't use it at all.
I'm really hoping I did not just mess up by not sending my credits anywhere....
When I am ready to sign up with TESC, how will I be requesting my transcripts?

Hi Aubs,
I'm going to assume that you've been taking CLEP/DSST for these 2 years. If that's the case then you don't need to worry. This is exactly what I'm doing too. Collegeboard (CLEP) and Prometric (DSST) will hold your test scores for you. Whenever you are ready to enroll with TESC then you contact each of these places and request a transcript. Here are the links to request a transcript....
CLEP - http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalSer...t-form.pdf
DSST - http://www.getcollegecredit.com/images/u...r_Form.pdf
As far as ACE, you will need a transcript from them for some of the other options like ALEKS, Penn Foster, etc. If you aren't taking any of those I don't think you'd need one.
Hope this helps a little.

I'll also add, whenever you decide to apply to TESC, pay attention to when they need to receive your transcripts, because it does take a little while. I requested a transcript to be sent somewhere just this fall, and from the time I mailed in my request form, it took a little over two and a half weeks just for them to mail out my transcript. Another thing to keep in mind .

Check out the current list of FEMAs that TESC accepts & once you are done taking those, you fill out a form on the FEMA test website, fax it to them & they will forward all the tests you passed to TESC. I did mine during the summer & faxed my form the first week of September, TESC marked it as received the next week but it took until the 3rd week of September for the FEMAs to show up on my academic evaluation.
