Train.org

Hello, Everyone!

Train.org offers various training courses, some from very reputable colleges, and others from large government agencies. Most are job related and there are multiple fields of study: Healthcare, Fire Service/Science, All Hazards, SARS-CoViD-19 Tracing, etc. They also organize classes at the State and Organizational level, so you may have additional classes available if you are in a certain locality or industry.
Some classes are paid, but a great majority--including full, Collegiate/Technical Certificates--are free. I've completed multiple courses at my State portal, including certificates from the PA Fire Academy.

You will need appropriate documents to begin, like a FEMA SID. In-fact, many of the certificates already mentioned in this forum can also be found in the course catalog on Train.org. You can also attach professional and license ID numbers to have ConEd units included in your transcript.

Enjoy.

Would you have more information on why Continuing Education credits would be beneficial for PLA's ?

Do any colleges use CEU's to qualify as work or life experience credits ?

I have a load of these CEU's and would be interested to see if any of those could contribute to a degree program or be of any other use to me.

From Ambulance, Fire, Police, to others such as FEMA and community colleges to more agencies offer similar programs, some have ACE and NCCRS credit recommendations, but most don't. These can be used for PLA as it gives assessments an option to evaluate experience and learning gained from continuously updating your knowledge in a particular subject matter. PLA's go through each institutions internal evaluations by their subject matter experts to see if your documented learning is comparable to a college class.
