Hey High_Order -- Facebook (and other) Ad Retargeting is based on browser history so in order to keep things separate, it's good practice to use different browsers for different functions.

I learned this the embarrassing and hard way once when showing a client something about their website (I'm an SEO) and all of a sudden, in a live environment on my computer, up pop ads for Depends and hard to fit bra sizes from some research/shopping I was doing for an elderly relative in a nursing home the night before... OMG... I turned purple and he looked verrrrrrry confused. The ads I was expecting to see were related to travel as that's the basis of his business. Lesson learned.
