Thomas Edison Social Psychology 6 Credits
#1
Anyone have an idea how I can fulfill this requirement? As the Uexcel only states 3 credits, will TESC award 6 credits for the Uexcel?
#2
My guess: they will let you take an additional elective to get those 3cr. For whatever reason, TESC's Social Psych course is 6cr (it's the only one that is).

TESC has both intro to social psychology and social psychology listed in their course list. I'm not sure how the ECE social psychology transfers in. Hard to say with TESC they change their minds occasionally. The social psychology requirement is new. TESC will sometimes plan out Excelsior exams and show where on your degree plan it would transfer in.

Do you think that there is any chance that if I take the study.com (assuming self pace) course and the Uexcel, that both will transfer in fulfilling the 6 credit requirement?

The social psychology is a new requirement so I don't think there is too much experience with it. I think it mostly depends on how the courses transfer in. For some requirements TESC seems to be flexible with what courses can satisfy the requirement but other requirements TESC has a specific course in mind. If the study.com course and ECE exam transfer in as the same course then they might be considered duplicates. The study.com course seems to be based on the ECE exam. I am currently working on Social psychology study.com course so in a month or two I can see how it transfers in. TESC is slow at updating my eval. I could ask TESC to preapprove the ECE and see how it transfers in. If it transfers in as social psychology then it might satisfy the requirement and the extra 3 credits will become a psych elective but it is hard to say with TESC, policies change frequently. The advisors are not always helpful either.

I am going to guess that they will be considered duplicate courses.

If you have questions after you enroll, you can ask about exams in advance, they will tell you if they duplicate and what they will count as.
