In addition to what you see here, I have taken intro to business, business ethics, and almost through with business law, and English comp 2.
I am wondering how long the capstone takes to finish and if this would be a quicker easier route to a degree. I posted the history eval. Either way :_) history or social sciences.

All help appreciated.

Since TESC has done an academic eval you can go into Online Student Services and under academic evaluation there is an option to select a different program such as social sciences to see how your credits might be applied if you change programs. It is unofficial and not 100% accurate but is helpful for planning. The history area of study has specific requirements for courses that must be completed. The social sciences is broader so there is more flexibility in courses, more UL options. The capstone course must be completed through TESC and is 12 weeks. The capstone course covers the area of study. If you study history the capstone would cover a topic relating to history. If you study social sciences then the capstone would cover a topic relating to the social sciences. It looks like you mostly have a few Gen Ed credits and the area of study left to complete. The area of study requires 30 credits, 15 must be upper level. The challenge would be getting the 15 UL credits. There are more UL options to choose from for social sciences then history. The social sciences area of study requires at least 3 different topics within the social sciences such as history, psychology, sociology, etc. and up to 6 credits can be at the 100 level.

Thanks for your response. I am still rolling it around in my head. I think it might be faster to stay with the BSBA and test/SL out as opposed to taking 12 weeks for the capstone.

Historical Methods/Historiography Requirement: new requirement as of July 2015 at TESC

If you stick with the History Degree, I am curious to know how you will fulfill the Historical Methods/Historiography requirement since TESC doesn't offer either one of these courses. My cousin asked TESC how she should accomplish that requirement, but since she is not yet enrolled at TESC, they told her they couldn't help her until then. Is there a way to test out of this requirement? Have they told you how to complete it? Thank you for your help!

I don't know the answer to this question. Maybe there is a Penn Foster class or something offered at BYU, or Torah that will fill that requirement. Anyone??
