Just a theoretical question I was discussing with someone tonight.
I was reading the various threads here about getting a 2nd bachelors degree, and how some schools will essentially waive the general ed requirements if someone has a bachelor's degree from another school.
Has anyone tried this at Charter Oak? Could one, for example, get a TESU BALS, and then use that BALS as the basis, with 30 new credits or whatever is required at COSC, and earn a second bachelors from COSC? If so, would COSC still allow that (assuming one could find the credits) from alternative credit sources (ACE, etc.) so that only a new capstone and cornerstone would be required? Would this be possible/easier at Excelsior?
The idea would be having degrees from two different institutions rather than a second degree from TESU.

In theory, yes. In practice, why? It doesn't look any better having 2 degrees from 2 schools rather than 2 degrees from one school.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I looked into similar but with different schools. I have a degree from a long time ago. I looked into getting a second degree in Management with an HR focus from Northern Arizona University. They have both a BS and a BA option. The BA requires Spanish, which I don’t have. But the BS does not. If I go forward with this program, I have 66 credits done (All the gen ed/liberal arts classes). But I do not have any courses done in any of the AOS, so that leaves me with 54 credits to complete. The advisor said she would see if she can get them to take my probability & statistics class in place of business statistics. I don’t know if they would. If I could pound out 54 credits in 6 months, my cost would be $3,000.
Is there a specific reason for switching to COSC? Do they have a degree that TESU does not? Is there a cost benefit?

I don't know for a fact that COSC and EC waive any requirements for the 2nd degree (whereas TESU actually waives ALL GE and Free Electives AND the cornerstone).
So theoretically, it's probably better to have TESU be your 2nd degree instead of COSC or EC. But you should certainly check with EC and COSC and see how they treat 2nd degrees.

For $3K you can get an MBA from Hellenic American University. A master's will get you much further than a second bachelor's degree. You'll be competing against those with a master's.

Depending on the person and situation, sometimes it may be a good idea to have a second degree at the Bachelors level. Other times, in the case of the Masters and/or MBA, if you have the prerequisites, it may be better to jump in that direction instead of having a second Bachelors. But to answer your question, yes. You can transfer 90+ credits into the Big 3 and finish a second degree there. If it was a CBE program such as from UMPI/Walden or something, you will need 30 credits in that major at the minimum - that is if you already have all the degree requirements met. Most of the time when people ask me by Private Message, I tell them to focus on a degree first, finish it and then decide what you want to do. Focus on that degree path and ladder to a Masters, or go for something else that may suit your interests more.

I may not be ready for a master’s degree.

Why don't you think you're ready for a master's degree? You have a bachelor's degree. Doesn't matter if you completed it in 1950 or 2020. You still have it. Maybe try some UL business courses on Study to see how you feel about writing the papers?
