I found a deal for ProwritingAid for 50% off selected packages. I could not find a deal for grammerly.

Granmarly doesn't even tell you up front how much it costs, if you want to pay. They haven't had any deals in years. ProWritingAid is cool because they a) tell you and b) have sales every 6-12 months. Love ProWritingAid!

You can try both and see how you feel.
ProWritingAid has an integrated "plagiarism checker", which I don't think Grammarly does. This can be useful when writing academic papers. When you've got a subscription or lifetime membership, I think you get a certain number of checks free, then you have to pay.

Do you think it is worth to get the lifetime membership for $200.00?

Personally, I do. I bought Lifetime when it was on sale at a similar price a while back. Neither it nor Grammarly are perfect, but I think that ProWritingAid is better at catching the worst mistakes. Grammarly doesn't always catch things like missing commas or other misplaced punctuation. PWA sometimes misses those things, too, but it seems to be much, much less.
Also, PWA allows you to set a "tone" when you're writing in Word. Is this an academic paper? A business memo? Something else? (I think there are 10-20 different types of writing that it recognizes.) It will then give you suggestions to make your writing sound more "academic" or more "business", in line with what you're trying to accomplish.
The biggest downside of PWA (IMO) is that its Chrome extension is really iffy. I mention this because mine has suddenly decided to stop recognizing this forum (again). It's installed and fully enabled, but it sometimes decides that it's just not going to work, for some reason. It'll probably go back to working on the next post that I write. The web editor and the MS Word extension work fine. I think it also does Google Docs?

For those interested in Grammarly, there is a 55% discount on annual subscriptions right now, for Black Friday. My 12 month renewal cost about $65.

I will prefer prowritingaid. I also purchase the blackfriday deal, so I can use for all my papers for my other courses. It is more affordable and it is 50 years membership (lifetime membership) thank for recommendation from rachel83az
