The Proverbial Pot of Gold!
#1
I just wanted to share with you that all of your hardwork and dedicated study can and will lead to the proverbial pot of gold; it did for me today.

Although I have a long-standing career (my day job) of being a Policeman now for 27+ years I just accepted a postition as a teacher at Remington College ( Remington College - Real Skills for the Real World | ). Granted this is only a part-time evening position, but for me it's the cherry on top of what has been an incredible academic journey.

Four years ago I set out to complete what I started nearly thirty years earlier. Now four years and three degrees later I am now TEACHING at the college level.

I will be teaching the Bachelors Degree - Criminal Justice program leading off with courses in Organized Crime, and Vice & Narcotics.

So to all of you out there who at times may become a little frustrated and wonder why bother to go on - I urge you to remember my little story. You can and will succeed so keep on chasing yours dreams - they can come true!!!

Congratulations! My initial excursion into higher education occurred at Remington's Mobile, AL campus, and if the guidance you provide at the college is anything like what you provide on these and other forums, they've truly added an invaluable asset to their staff.

That story was truly inspiring Shoto. I didn't know you were a police officer...what did I tell you about keeping secrets from mehilarious !!!

I love reading your stories and looking at your signature every time you post. Looking at those degrees keeps me so pumped up. I can't wait for the day when I can walk across that stage and say, "I have arrived."

I appreciate everything you've done for me and countless others here on IC. You have been the light at the end of the tunnel for a lot of us here. You're advice and insight has been invaluable to me personally.

I wish you well in your new position. I don't think they realize the kind of person they just brought on board. You will be a huge asset to that institution. I'm so proud of you.

Not too be redundant but I hope you do stick around here for a while. I'm starting to feel like a freshman with a bunch of senior friends!!! Everyone's moving on to law school, grad school, and new careers and I'm still stuck here!!!hilarious But I love too see you guys prospering and doing well.

Peace be unto you always.
