I prefer video lectures to all other forms of learning. You may want to check itunesU and see what lectures are available. I use it regularly when preparing for exams.

I also noticed when someone posted the Saylor link that Saylor uses these lectures as well. I like "Hank" Ibser's teaching style but Khan is much more concise. I'm going to get through all of Khan's videos and listen to Hank explain the concepts I don't understand. So far, Khan's explanation of probabilities has been waaaay more helpful than the Idiot's guide, although for people who learn better by only reading, it is a great tool.

My grad school uses Ivy Software to help meet their pre req's. Not worth college credit but satisfies the missing pieces of the puzzle. It's something like 60 dollars per course.

Why not use ALEKS? It only costs $20 per month.

They have Introductory Statistics, Business Statistics, and Statistics for Behavioral Sciences, all of which grant ACE credit.

You could email your adviser and ask if they accept ALEKS credit directly. If they do, you'd simply complete the course and have a transcript sent to COSC.

I don't know if you read the beginning of the thread but UA will not accept Straighterline which is ACE accredited so I doubt they will accept Alek's either. My instructions from the Director of Graduate Programs in Business is that the course needs to come from a regionally accredited school. Now, I realize I could "launder" the credits through COSC I suppose so let me ask...how long does it take on average to pass an Aleks course? Because, COSC said that if they receive any transcripts after the date of conferral of my degree (Aug 31), I will have to add them to a credit registry and that is a separate transcript than my degree transcript. I don't know if U of A will let that fly since he already told me no Straighterline (and Aleks is in the same category0 is accepted directly. All of my graded credits so far have been from regionally accredited colleges, DSST, or CLEP (all of which they accept). The cost for the credit registry is $433 from what I see on their website for out of state residents.

Thanks, I'll check into that. I do see one community college that has the course so I'll contact the college today to find out what I need to do to register. I will probably register now just in case and then drop the course if I pass the DSST.
