The Big Three- How Does One Lists Dates of Attendance Correctly on a Resume?

Does anyone have an idea about how someone who transferred almost all courses from other B&M schools and tested out the rest before attending one of the "Big Threes" should list their attendance dates on a resume?

Do I include the date when I started at the B&M college as my START DATE and the date I graduated from (let's say) TESC as my END DATE (graduation) for obtaining a bachelor's? Reason I am asking is because I am assuming most employers MAY become suspicious when on one's resume one lists (for example) Thomas Edison State College- BSBA- Gen Management- FROM April 2014 to August 2014

I listed both my dates. However, I graduated from a B & M school before transferring my credits to TESC. In your case, it would be wise to list both schools.

Good Question Sahara, I reckon tell the truth and see what happens. There are numerous people who have short residencies at the college that awarded their degree. Two years at an American Community College and then two years at the granting institution would be very normal. Since you have a lot of Overseas credit along with your TESC degree you'll be fine I reckon.

I put the exact months/years attended for all of the schools. For TESC, I put from the month/year of enrollment to the month/year of graduation. It's only 6 months, but I don't think anyone pays attention. I've had a couple of interviewers assume that I lived in New Jersey. Apparently, they didn't pay attention to the fact that all of the jobs listed on my resume/application were in Texas.

I had not thought about this at all, being in the middle of my process. I might also end up with just 2014-2014. I hope it doesn't bother people too much.

I don't put a range. I simply put "Graduated 2010". First, it lets them know I actually graduated (which is not always the case on a resume) and second, it sidesteps that range issue if you were only enrolled for a few months before graduation.

I actually don't list my start dates on my resume, only graduation dates. If an application requires both (many do), then you'll use your actual TESC dates of enrollment (which may only be 6 months or so).
Depending on what constitutes your resume, you may want to break it down by "Degrees" and "Other Education." I do both, which allows me to list dates of attendance for everything that didn't result in a degree- including CEUs. This is a copy/paste of the part of my resume that includes some of my transfer credit that went into my TESC degree, it's nestled in with other education chronologically.

Since I'm in academics, I have a CV which can include "everything" and generally does. So, my "other education" is a full page, but it's somewhere back around page 5. My degrees, on the other hand, are front and center page 1. You'll do whatever you feel presents your skills in the best way and is still honest.
