Hi All,
I just saw that i was awarded credit for the Advertising TECEP I took on 22 May...Yay!
I was wondering if I will receive a score? I'm interested to see how I did on the test. My feeling is that I must have barely passed!
Also how is the score received? Do they snail-mail you the score? Do they email you the score?
Thanks!

Hi Dan,
Congratulations on passing the Advertising TECEP. I also took the exam and am still waiting to know how I performed. Before then, I had passed English Composition 1 and 2 and CIS-107 Computer Concepts and Applications and I got a snail mail from the Office of the Registrar detailing my grade as CR for each of the exams. So, yes you get snail mail. Mine was sent First Class- it took about 2 to 3 days to get to me in Slovakia.

Did you take the TECEP under the May term or June? How did you take it- via ProctorU?

Thanks for the reply Sahara. Slovakia? That's cool I was in Bratislava on vacation a couple years ago. Nice town. I live in Japan so it may take a little time for the snailmail to arrive here.
I took the TECEP under the May term. I used a remote proctor, paper-based exam. I tested May 22nd and they updated that I had received credit today.

I live in Bratislava and yes, it's a cool city. ![Smile Smile](https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/images/smilies/smile.png) I still think First Class mail, irrespective of where it is going, should get to you in a couple of days, maybe a week at the maximum (that is assuming you'll know the exact day they'll dispatch the result)... Regarding the scores, TESC doesn't give a number grade for TECEPS other than CR, NC etc In the results sent to me, CR was listed.
I took Advertising under the June term. I really do hope I'll pass those June exams as I am a bit nervous already.

They only give a CR or NC, they don't let you know the score.
CLEPS Passed: 10 DSST Passed: 11 TECEPS: 1

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Depending on your knowledge in the subject, you may or may not have to study. I did not really study for the CIS 107 exams- I went through few chapters I thought contained important information I knew nothing about and then went ahead to sit the exam. Prior experience with computers and my prior learning at Penn Foster helped me a lot. And, yes they are all MCQs- 100 questions with a pass mark of 70.

Lol passed right on the mark with 70. Did not study at all. Does it show a grade of 70 on my transcript or it will just give me credit? This is my first TECEP.

Congratulations. ![Smile Smile](https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/images/smilies/smile.png) TECEPS appear on your transcript as CR or NC = Credit or No Credit. TESC does not give numerical grade.
