Regis University allows for 90 credits from CLEP or DSST.
Does anyone know or had success testing out of those 90 credits, having it meet all general education and elective requirements, and then taking 30 credits online to complete their degree?
There are limited options for what you can take online, but the majority of the programs offered are business, nursing, and healthcare.

The purpose of the question is I want to get into a good grad school. In order to do so I plan on having at least 30 graded credits.
Do I do so by going to TESU/COSC, testing out of 90 credits, and take 30 credits with them or do it at Regis purely for the better name? (if anyone knows its possible).

You send your CLEP and DSST scores to Regis.

If you want to save money, then TESU and COSC will be cheaper for the 30 graded credits. I don't know what kind of non-loan aid Regis gives to its online students, but they cost $34,100 per year.

I remember Regis' programs to have more the 120 credits as a requirement (128 I think). I remember because I considered applying for the program. I got turned off initially with the all the religious requirements, but was still going to apply, and then they had raised the military tuition considerably and I decided against it last minute (last I heard they switched back to the lower rate, but it was too late).
It's a good school and it really is only a couple extra courses, but I just wanted to clarify on the additional credits.
PS- To answer your question, you DO NOT need to do TESU/COSC at all. Just take whichever CLEP/DSST exams that Regis will accept and send the transcripts from Collegeboard/Prometric straight to Regis. Just make sure the courses fit into the particular degree program you're targeting.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

If Regis ends up being too expensive, there are plenty of other schools that are less expensive. Many schools will take 90cr transferred in, and many will take CLEP/DSST/ACE courses, so you just need to find one in your price range, where you can afford the last 30cr there.
Straighterline will have a list, because they have a bunch of partner schools who will accept their courses. I'm guessing all of those schools will take CLEP/DSST and a range of other ACE-approved courses.
You are also free to get your 30 graded credits at a CC, and make sure that any prereq's are graded.

If you chose COSC, you could save money by testing out 90 credits, taking cornerstone/capstone (6 credits) through COSC and get 24 graded credits a little more cheaply through other options, such as UExcel exams.

Uexcels are a cheaper way to get graded credits from Excelsior. But, keep in mind that your grade is based on one test. If you don't get the grade you want, then you'll have to pay to take the test again. If I needed to make As, this would not be my favorite way to try to get them.

Agreed. This is a good point. Some of the UExcels can be quite challenging for a sure A grade, such as something like Managerial Accounting.
On this topic: Excelsior has a new system (at least I hadn't seen it) where you can have one retake for "free," but you must pay for the practice exam. "The value package is priced at $145 and covers the registration for the practice exam, the registration for the operating exam, and a free retake of the operating exam (a $110 value!), if needed."

Ok great that is good to know. I'm having trouble finding very many others that do. Besides what I see on Straighterline's partner schools list can you tell me some others?
