Hi,
I want to start testing, I would like to finish my testing by my birthday in July.
I only need 4 cleps/dantes, so my goal is doable
So, if anyone is currently testing Clep and Dantes in Southern California, preferably LA, could you please tell me what testing centers you use? And does anyone know any place that tests on the weekend? That college in Ventura county stopped the weekend testing, at least for non enrolled students.

Also one U of P I called said they aren't allowing non enrolled student to test there, does anyone know if was just an odd U of P or did they change their policy for all the schools?
Thanks everyone

I drove from Echo Park to do my CLEPs and DSSTs at Fullerton College, and it was worth every mile of every trip. Greg Menchaca does a great job there, he's very easy to deal with, and a super nice guy. I called and made an appointment for my first exam, but after that it was very informal. I'd just let him know when I thought I'd be in next, and as long as he wasn't overbooked, I could take as many exams as I wanted. It's a very nice campus for a CC, and there's a student dining room and a Subway shop within a short walk.

The Master's College used to offer CLEPs. I'm not sure if they still do. They're up in Santa Clarita. But I started going to Fullerton College because it was much closer for me. And I agree with gcalvin that Greg, the proctor, does an excellent job. I've taken CLEP, DSST, TECEP, and Thomas Edison class midterms there and was very pleased with how it was run.

In response to the UoP question...that is where my siblings and I take all our tests. My brother just took one yesterday with no problems. I'm betting that's the policy of that one office.

They still do. That's where I took all my CLEP and DSST exams. It's a really beautiful campus and they have a nice, air-conditioned facility. Parking is close, people are nice and once they know you it's easy to set up times. You can't, however, walk to a Subway...

I don't know SoCal all that well, but California Coast University offers CLEP, DANTES, Pearson VUE (ECE's), and Thompson Prometric exams in Santa Ana:

I took DSST MIS at ERAU (LA Campus) then drove to Rio Hondo and took the Clep Intro to Computers on the same day. I did better on the DSST MIS and felt it was easier than the Clep.

I used La Sierra for two clep tests and will be using them again for a DSST exam. They have great hours and are very flexible in terms of helping people register.
I really liked the testing room - no distractions, cool temperature and a white-noise generator to keep your mind focused.
