While I'm still torn between TESC and CharterOak, I would prefer to test out as many CLEPs as possible which would apply to a AA and then a BA in Business. At the same time I rather not waste my time nor money on classes which are then not accepted. Is there a list/plan of test which I can safely take beforehand?
Thank you,

For Charter Oak, you would start with General Education courses:
General Education Requirements - Charter Oak State College Catalog
Use this exam list to see how exams apply:

Then there are the Business requirements:
Business Administration - Charter Oak State College Catalog
Here are some graduation requirements:

Unless something has changed, FEMA credits are great to make up for needed free electives.

Thank you,
Here's the thing- ALL of the exams are accepted. So, if you take CLEP, DSST, AP, TECEP, Straighterline, Saylor, etc. they will be accepted; the issue is that you have to make sure they line up with the degree's credit distribution. For instance, let's say I earned 50 math credits. There is no degree that has room for 50 math credits, so even though they are accepted credits, I made the mistake of not matching the distribution of credits. So, use the links topdog shared to help you choose the exams you want for each area within the degree. HTH

Thank you for the great responses. I apologize in advance for my ignorance on the topic matter, but can someone explain what FEMA credits are and how they benefit me compared to CLEP'n through it? Thank you.

The benefit is that they are free and taken completely at home.
FEMA courses are taken here:
Emergency Management Institute - Independent Study (IS) | Continuing Education Units and College Credits
These are how the courses apply at Charter Oak (unless something has changed recently):

Note: What I have told you above only applies to Charter Oak. These courses are mostly only good for free electives (meaning that you have all of your required courses and only need more credits to get you to 120 credits). You can't use these exclusively instead of CLEPs and other exams/courses because they generally do not satisfy any general education or major requirements.
