I'm confused  I posted about this, because I had completed a number of FEMA credits but was literally accepted to TESC the day that the cut-off notice was sent out. I was told they would not accept my FEMA credits, but when my evaluation came back, they had been counted on my academic evaluation. Based on that, I think you just had to complete the FEMA credit prior to the cut-off date.

Sweetsecret, what you're saying could be true. When I received that email notice from TESC saying it was no longer accepting FEMA. I went to TESC's website and did a search for FEMA. There was a newsletter, it said as long as you enroll or qualify as a student by June 30th, 2014 all FEMAs courses completed before March 5 will be accepted. The article was in a PDF format, there were lots of other subjects being discussed. The page that talked about the FEMA had a lady on the left side of the article. I went back a few days later and for the life of me I could not find the article. It was removed. I will try brushing this with TESC and see what it says.

Keep us posted. My sister is in the same boat. She isn't really ready to enroll, but if they will take her FEMAS it may be worth rushing.
Same thing happened to me with new guidelines. It is SO frustrating to follow a path then get it pulled out from under you. Thank God for this forum to help us keep up on all the changes!

Gosh I've got emails from TESC after March 5th of this year regarding FEMAs, and it was just an absolute "No" ... so I didn't bother applying etc. All of mine were taken previous to December 2013 ... I'm wondering if I applied today, that I may just be able to slip under the net ?? How do you put the FEMA courses on the application form? Do I put FEMA as a college? I will be a "pay per credit" student and not coughing up $$$$'s straight up, I wonder if that will also make a difference

I don't think your tuition plan makes a difference, or else they would have waited until I was enrolled to decide whether or not to accept the credits. For the record though, I also have e-mails from TESC after March 5th saying the FEMA credits would not be applied. I went ahead and listed FEMA along with my CLEPs and had the transcripts sent to TESC. The evaluators at TESC did give me credit for the FEMA courses, even after customer service told me "No" on e-mail about receiving credits. I'd say its worth applying if you completed numerous FEMA courses prior to March 5th.

Am filling out the application for TESC as I type this I have the full 27 FEMA courses (with required extra courses) for the elective section, so if they accept them it would be tremendous! I presume I simply fill out the TESC application, pay the $75 fee and have the transcript request mailed to FEMA for them to send it onto TESC?? Wish FEMA would accept an emailed request .... Obviously I want TESC to have the FEMA transcript on their desk before the June 30th date .... I need green lights all the way for this to happen :willynilly: |
