I have read that all of TESC courses are 12 weeks. Am I correct that it is too late then to take a TESC course, complete it and have the grade appear for a June graduation (April 1)
I have not read of any short courses that could be taken to get a GPA calculation from TESC. Are there any?

You would have to register now for the March semester and yes you are right, it will run for 12 weeks.
ETA: On another note, they didn't count my Straighterline to FHSU to TESC College Algebra as "CR" they actually gave me a grade for it. Now if that goes toward my GPA, I am not sure.

You got a grade for it?! How did that happen?! I thought that they only gave grades for class taken from TESC.

Grades will be posted to the academic evaluation from transfers. That said they are not counted when calculating the TESC GPA, though they will be used for the subcategory gpa requiremens ( ie 2.0/4.0 in english curses, or courses in major - if applicable).

According to TESC's silly GPA policy, if you take 1 course either during
or after finishing the requirements for your degree, they consider (and report) the grade from that course to be your GPA for the degree. So, if you enroll today for the March semester, the grade that you get in May will be considered your GPA. Kind of a joke, isn't it?!

Yes I thought it was kind of a joke and that was
before reading in your post that they apply the GPA even
after you finish your degree requirments. Seems like by the time you learn all the ropes of some of tesc's convoluted policies it's time to graduate.

So I still have time to take a class from TESC and have a TESC gpa appear on my transcript? If this is true then Woo Whoo!!!.
I have heard that it makes it a little easier to have a GPA showing on your transcript from the school you got your diploma from. I'm sure anywhere I apply (school or work) will still want all my transcripts, but this is a hurdle I would rather not have to tackle after graduation.
Now to find that one class. Does it have to relate to your degree?
Also, lets say I do go and take a humanities course from TESC (an example). But in my evaluation they applied a transfer course to that area already. Do they bump out the transfer course and give priority to the TESC course when I complete it?

Based on this page on TESC's site:
Thomas Edison State College/ Request a GPA Letter you can take it whenever you want and it will become your official TESC GPA. Nope, doesn't have to relate to your degree. Regarding the class, not sure you'd want it to 'bump' the one you already took, since by doing so you could potentially hold up your graduation app. Personally, I'd make sure that the class sat down in 'other courses' until passing it, so that the eval didn't show a pending requirement. But, that's just paranoid me, not trusting TESC to be logical!
