I went and took five exams yesterday. Ironically, the three I studied for, I didn't pass. (Ironic, I know.) I've been in a bit of a testing funk lately. I was originally studying 2 more topics but wasn't comfortable taking exams for those subjects. Since I'd already paid my registration fee, one of the exams I took was Technical Writing and I scored a 51 one it, cold. That roughly relates to a B. It was 101 questions with one essay question asking me to describe an item in detail.
Since there isn't an InstantCert entry for the subject, I thought I would just go ahead and state: The Research Methods ECE information is of great help on technical writing. If you are good with your grammar or majored in English, that will be of great help, because there are questions that ask how to reword sentences, if needed. Knowing APA format is beneficial. Knowing what an abstract is, and the parts of a technical document are necessary. Just giving you guys a heads up in case anyone wants or needs to take that DSST.
