Not sure if this is already a known thing but I just got my updated evaluation and noticed that they bumped out three credits in my free elective spot because of my extra credits in the Core and Area of Study. For the BSBA - Accounting we need 36cr in Core and 18cr in AoS, I managed 38cr in Core and 19cr in AoS. I took 3 CC courses that went for spots in both the Core and AoS areas that where 4cr and not 3. I originally planned for 124cr to completion but really only needed the 120. Wasn't sure how they were going to do that but that is how if anyone is curious.

They did not "waive" the requirement - that spot is actually for leftover credits anyway. In Gen Ed, if you take the 6cr A&I Lit course, for example, the extra 3cr goes towards the Gen Ed Electives area. If you take a 4cr course in an area that only needs 3cr, that extra credit goes towards Electives. If you end up with any extra credits over 60 in the top half of the degree, they get bumped down to Free Electives. You may end up with enough extra credits in Gen Ed, Core and AOS to not need any complete courses in Free Electives (I only have 4cr in mine).

Sorry I guess the use of the word "Waive" was a poor choice.

FYI, the academic evaluation is only a template both college and students use as a guide to ensure the degree requirements are met. The transcript simply lists all credits earned in two column format, by grouped sections in this order:
Transfer Credits = 2/4yr colleges;
Assessment Credits/Subsections* = Assessment, Ace, CLEP, Dantes;
Institutional Credits = TESU courses & exams.
Only institutional courses/exams are detailed on transcripts by semester; including course grade, and GPA (term/cum). Just wanted to make sure folks are not disappointed expecting the official transcript to look similar to an academic eval.
*Straighterline is listed under ACE even when sent directly on Straighterline transcript. I would imagine NCCRS (sp?) may fall under the assessment subcategory (as did FEMA when accepted) but am not sure as I never took any off those courses.
