Hi guys,
So I decided to finally commit to getting my bachelors degree. I am a Financial Advisor at a broker dealer where I started as an assistant in 2003. Through hard work, and some luck, I have been able to flourish at my current employer without a degree. However, the industry is changing and some institutions are more attractive than others. I have always been hesitant to move due to the lack of a college degree. So I've been reading as much as I can in this invaluable forum and so far have completed some course. My math is ok and I am an avid reader and am interested in history. Find below what I have completed and planning to complete soon. I would greatly appreciate and suggestions on how to complete as many credit as possible in the shortest amount of time. I am assuming I should start with the General Education requirements and go from there. I prefer non proctored online courses/exams since I can study some at the office (no camera). CLEP's also convenient since I have a testing center a block away. I will probably apply to TESU in December and transfer all credits earned by then just so stick to it. Will probably take a couple of TESU TECEP's to keep my status current. Any TECEP suggestions?
Progress so far:
The Institutes: Ethics Insurance. Completed 10/15/16
Teex: Cyber Security 101, 201, and 301. Completed 10/18/16
Aleks: Int. Algebra: Completed 10/20/16. College Algebra: Completed 10/23/16. Statistics: In progress. Precal: Should I take it?
CLEP: Spanish: will take soon (native speaker). I am also considering LTI and the OPI/WPT in Spanish which I saw in another post. What would this translate to credit course wise?
Thanks for all your help.

If I were you, I would get the GM just because the courses are easier to find: GM has about 10 different courses from the AOS you can take from various places, giving you lots of options. Finance only has 4 courses from the AOS you can take easily here, and then you have to come up with 2 additional courses from somewhere else. Unless you know finance well, and can PLA out of them (write papers showing you know the course enough to have passed the class).
If I were you (assuming you know finance well enough to test out), I would take the 2 Finance TECEP's: 1) Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, and 2) Financial Institutions & Markets. That way, you've covered the FIN courses which will count towards both majors.
I would also take as much Spanish as possible: CLEP is SPA-101/102/201 (9cr), OPIc is SPA-327/328 (12cr), WPT is SPA-401/499 (6cr) or something to this effect. Not sure on the rest, this is just what was told on this forum by someone who took the OPIc/WPT German tests. So, definitely take them, and then let us know what you end up with (score, and then what TESU gives you on the Eval).
I would take these now, and then as soon as you know your scores, apply to TESU and see what they come in as. That way, you can plan your Gen Eds accordingly (it will really depend on what they give you as to what you have left to take, so you need to know before you start taking lots of courses - especially if you sign up for SL or Shmoop and want to get as much out of that as you possibly can).
I might also go to the CLEP testing center and take College Composition with Essay and A&I Literature. Also consider the Public Speaking DSST exam if your testing center has DSST's as well as CLEP's.
The more you can take before you apply, the better and more complete your eval will be, which just makes it easier to plan the rest of the degree.

Yes I would take Precal, found it to be about the same as the College Algebra and for 20$ for 3 credits it can fill up Math or Gen Ed spot for any degree so its well worth it if you can complete by 11/30/16

So I just got the study.com scholarship! I am planning on taking the required Personal finance course, then Principles of Finance. Any suggestions for the remaining 4 course (2 per month) for the BSBA GM degree? Any courses which are best to take at study.com then with another provider?
