Hello guys,
So I’m an international student living in Dubai where English is not the first language and TESU asked me to take the TOEFL exam. However, I have already taken English Composition 1 through study.com (along with many more courses that I want to transfer). TESU said they might accept English Composition 1 as a proof for my English proficiency. I need to wait for their decision.
Has anyone gone through the same process? Will they actually accept that English course instead of the TOEFL?

Yes, you need to do it, except for citizens of the following countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom... Most individuals overseas will require this unless you're from an English speaking country or a country that uses English as an official language, you will need to do the TOEFL.

If people who have moved from an overseas nation and have immigrated to the US, if they have high school/college done at another country, they have to have high school graduation with college credits and a TOEFL test to verify. Just follow the two links and you're good.

If you look at their website, nothing takes the place of the exam - it's required.

Basically, the TOEFL is a requirement, the English Comp I you have taken is a course to be transferred over for credit. Those two are different requirements, if you get an easy pass like this, then many people would not even bother with a TOEFL. I would do exactly as the website indicates and not skip anything.

Hi
I ve got response on the topic of TOEFL from TESU.
So in case if someone will bring even 90 credit hours to TESU through various providers, they will still ask you to present TOEFL.
But if you are internation student who obtained online degree from regionally accredited USA university you will not need TOEFL.
If it makes any sense.
