TESU Undergraduate certificate requirements
#1
Hi all
I'm about to graduate in March with my BSBA - GM.  Now I've had a few weeks to recover from the Capstone, I'm thinking again about taking the Undergraduate Accounting Certificate.  It says on the website if you're not enrolled in a degree you must have at least 50% of the credits from TESU.  Does this include if you've just graduated and are still within a year of paying the waiver fee?  Or in those circumstances could I take more than 50% from Study.com.
Currently I have TECEP Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. I also have Intermediate Accounting I from Study.com.  I'd prefer to get the remaining 3 courses from Study.com too.  The TECEP for Federal Taxation looks...erm...challenging!

Once you use the residency waiver for a Bachelor's degree, it's done.  You don't get it for a year.

If you had decided to do it sooner, you could have gotten it with Study.com courses entirely.  You just would have needed Int. Accounting II, Advanced Accounting & Cost Accounting.

Yeah, that's what I thought.  Oh well, it would have been a "nice to have", rather than an essential certificate.  Thanks!

Maybe look into accounting certificates on Coursera or edX? Some of these programs actually transfer to the college/university offering them. Or a graduate certificate?

Good idea, I hadn't thought of looking there.  I'd just been looking at the big 3 and the other commonly attended universities on this forum.
