TESU Courses from Study.com
#1
I did it! I was accepted into the Guardian's Study.com scholarship program!

I want to make the most of it and wanted some opinions on what classes to take.
Here's what I'm lacking. Please let me know what classes at study.com I can plug in here.

Information Literacy: 3 cr
Diversity: 3 cr
Ethics: 3 cr
Civic Engagement: 3 cr
Understanding the Physical and Natural World: 1 cr
General Education: ~3 cr

Thanks in advance.

Now that I've given you what you asked about specifically, I would also say that I personally would look at using the Study.com courses as a way to get some UL courses done instead of these. You can find a free Ethics course, the Saylor Comparative Politics course is only $25 and will get you Civic Engagement, and many Saylor courses will work for Understanding the Physical & Natural World and Gen Ed requirements for $25 as well.

Thank you for the help specifically. Luckily, I have most of my UL courses for my degree plan. And since I want the BA in Music I will have to get them elsewhere. I asked for these because this is all I have left to do. You are awesome though for the suggestion. If I still needed more UL I would do as you suggest.

As it is the Guardian scholarship will give me 2 final exams each of the three months that I have it so I can only take 6 of these. Hopefully I don't fail one and need to retake. If I do I will use the free ethics one and drop the study.com ethics and sub in the saylor.com for the rest.

thanks again.

All of their math courses fulfill the math requirement (except maybe Business Math), but depending on your degree program, you may need more math than others.

I could be wrong but I believe you're only going to get 5 of these. One of those classes has to be personal finance.

A potential snag I just discovered: was time strapped on month one (guardian was also granted much faster than expected) and only completed 1 exam. 1-2 days after month's end I finished the 2ND exam. So April only shows 1 remaining. They don't appear to carry over Sad I knew my schedule down to the day and asked study.com this very question a couple weeks ago but failed to word it specific enough.

You are right on target here. I will have to use one of my testings for the Personal Finance that is a part of the scholarship.
So, I will be using the free ethics course at the very minimum to help out there.

So far though I'm liking the style of learning of Study.com over Saylor. So I will strive to take full advantage of them while I can.

I also just sent an email to TESU to add my Study.com affiliation to my profile. To get the perks. I'm not sure what they all are but I know at least the residency waiver discount will be well worth it.
