TESU Cornerstone Info

The *Not Met* thing is interesting, as mine always reflected as *met* from the day I enrolled (in March). But I also had graded courses I transferred in. Even though they didn't reflect in my Institutional GPA, they were on the transcript.

The thing I particularly don't like in all this is how the terminology is reversed between the two. Did you notice that? The "colorful" academic evaluation, which is the second one quoted above, also used to be available on it's own in the myedison page with a different name, but no longer is -- it only shows up now when doing the "what if" scenario.

In any case, I'm passing this PLA course no problem, so my GPA issues will be behind me -- and fingers crossed that your "worst case scenario" doesn't befall those who must take the cornerstone.

I guess we'll just see what happens with the first person to attempt graduation under the new system without having ever taken a TESU course.

I'll admit that it's still quite screwed up. On my "text" academic evaluation, it shows this:
Code:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
S.H.      S.H. Applied   S.H.       Comm Coll     S.H to      Overall  TESU
Required  to Degree Req  Remaining  S.H. Applied  be Planned  GPA Met  GPA
60.00     35.00          25.00      0.00          25.00       YES
================================================================================

While on the "graphical" academic eval (the colored one you see e.g. when you use the "what if I changed my degree") it says:
Code:
Required        Current Earned  Current Remaining Anticipated Additional  Anticipated Remaining
Institutional Credits:                    39.00           0.00              1.00                    0.00
Institutional GPA:                        **              Met*
Overall Credits:             60.00        39.00           21.00             1.00                    20.00
Overall GPA:                 2.000        **              Not Met*

(*) Anticipates completion of in-progress and registered courses
(**) GPA does not include credits with pending repeats

That big fat "not met" in the bottom row and the corresponding blank in the first block is what set me on this insane course.

Mine looks just like your first one. However, I have never done the "What If" one.

The "what if" used to be available on it's own in myedison, separate from the academic evaluation. I believe it was called "program evaluation". That is where I first saw it; now, it's no longer there, but it shows up that way if you do the "what if". Note, if you try it, don't check off an existing program. If you have one of the existing degree plans selected with the radiobutton (checkbox), and also select a degree from the dropdown, it'll just burp up an error.

I checked it and mine shows a GPA. However, I have not taken any courses with TESU. They are getting that from grades transferred in. I'm not sure what's up unless it is based on when you were enrolled. I applied in December, my eval was complete in January and I registered for a February term TECEP.

If I run my regular Academic Eval under my current plan (BSBA), it leaves the Institutional GPA blank (I was enrolled in June of 2015, and I am under the 2014-2015 catalog). Even if I do the switch to another degree program under the 2015-2016 catalog (AA in Communications), it says the Institutional GPA is "met".
