TESU BSBA and ASBA completed - Advice for new degree seekers :)
#1
I am so excited to have finished all of my degree requirements in time for the September graduation! Smile I wanted to offer some encouragement for all of those who are still working towards their degree(s). I completed one year at a community college (2014-15) earning 29 credits that applied towards my degrees at TESU. I tested out of many CLEPs, DSSTs, and TECEPs. I also took a few courses from Penn Foster including my capstone. It took me 2 calendar years total to complete my degrees. Smile It is very doable if you can schedule yourself and stick to it. The changes with the TECEPs not counting as residency credits will make a difference for future students. I would have had another 6 months at least if I hadn't made it in before the TECEP rule changed. My advice is to sit down and make a plan that will work for you. Print out the degree requirements and then try to look through all of the testing options and see what can fit into your degree. I really enjoyed working with Penn Foster and some courses only took me a week to complete (although I have heard that some courses are very difficult.) Once you have filled in the requirements to the best of your ability, make sure that the courses will transfer to TESU the way you have them planned. I took anywhere from 2-4 exams a month since this January, so if I can do it, so can you! Smile Feel free to email me with questions if you have any. It is definitely a learning experience and the best way that I found things out was by messaging other experienced forum users with my questions. God bless and good luck!

Congratulations to all of the other September graduates! We did it! :hurray:

TESU March 2020 Graduation
--ASNSM Mathematics
--BSBA Accounting
--BA Computer Science

University of Alaska Fairbanks (December 2021 Graduation Goal)
--MBA (2/10 : 4.0)

I started this journey in the summer of 2016.  I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.
