Hello everybody,
What are the alternatives for completing the capstone for TESU's BSBA (BUS-421 Strategic Management)? I know of the following:
- TECEP
- PLA
- Penn Foster
- GS and OL
Are there others? I would like to get it over with as quickly and inexpensively as possible. I
may have enough life experience to put together a decent PLA but would like to know all my options. Thanks for your help.
BSBA/Accounting TESU (2016). MSA UIUC (2018).
Need help with portfolios? I earned 18 credits at TESU through portfolio evaluations. Nine of those were for upper level accounting courses. My advice for PLA/portfolios:
TESU portfolio tips The first post has the Portfolio Checklist I created. Page ten has the actual narrative I wrote to receive credit for ACC-440.
Using Straighterline's Financial Accounting as a substitute for TESU's Intermediate Accounting I? Don't do it if you are an accounting major and/or want your CPA license. They are not the same course and I think TESU has erred in accepting the SL course as Intermediate I. I made this discovery here:
Intermediate Accounting II.

Hello,
How are you doing? I noticed you're doing a BSBA from TESU.
Which tuition plan are you selecting or opting to use?
I am just curious which one you were choosing.
To answer your question, I believe it's best for you to take the TECEP as it matches your requirements and it's the cheapest.
The other option not listed already is CSU Global CBE (Business Policy and Strategy) but it's $250 I believe.
Have a great day, and thanks for the DSST reminder for the buy 2 get 1 free exam.

How is the CSU CBE exam, is it multiple choice, essay based or mixed? Also do I need to be enrolled with them to take the CBE?

I'm not sure anyone here has taken the course, most opt for the TECEP or the PF course. You could do some searching for the Cloud Computing or Systems Analysis CBE's from CSU-Global, there are a few people who have taken those. From my understanding, they are multiple-choice exams. The school does give you some video-based information to help study for the tests.
You can enroll as a non-degree-seeking student, and it doesn't cost anything to enroll. Then, you can start at the next term (I got the idea it was the first of the next month, and you have 2 months to take the exam).

Thanks for the feedback on TECEP for the capstone. I'm probably going to go that route.
I'm a per-credit student right now. The only credits I have left with TESU will be PLA and TECEP.
