Sorry to bring up an old post, but I just noticed that you mentioned that NY State will not accept accounting credits from SL, Study, or Penn Foster. Do you know anything about NJ? I had just assumed that since TESU is a state college that any accounting credits they will accept will be accepted for the CPA as well, but now I'm really questioning that assumption. How would I find out?
I don't plan on continuing with a Master's in Accounting, I was just planning on sitting for the CPA with a TESU degree in accounting.
Thanks!
No idea about New Jersey with the CPA Exam. Its funny that New York will accept ACE Credit for the number of credits complete but not for the actual accounting requirements. This is one of two reasons I am getting my Accounting Credits from BM schools (accepts for a few UL). Since this post however I have decided not to pursue the CPA only to be eligible to sit for it. Having the eligibility to sit for it seems to carry a lot of weight with Civil Service and that's is where I am looking at moving up in my career.
On a Side note I am looking for a good Auditing Course, Was going to do Oakton's Auditing over the Summer but that teacher has 3 proctored tests and at 33$ each I'm not trying to spend another 100$ on a course outside of the actual course fee.
