Commitments: Full time job where some weeks I work more than 40+ hours 
Dedicated time to study: I can study about 3-4 hours per week
Timeline: I would like to finish in 1 year and half





I am planing to finish off my general education credit using sophia and take the remaining ones for TESU BACS using a combination of Study.com/TESU classes/local community college classes.

I planing to start sophia and need some advice on what course to take to maximum my membership.


I need the following courses


ETH-2200 Leading the Way: A Path Towards Ethical Leadership
SOC-2100 Marriage and the Family 
FIL-1100 Exploring American Cinema 
Computer Architecture
Some Computer Science Electives 
Electives courses


I tried Study.com computer architecture course, but I think a RA course would be way easier, I looked at the assignments required at Study.com and gave up on that class


I have not apply for admission at TESU yet so I just trying to get all my general education credit first before applying and getting my credits evaluated. I filled out my spreadsheet to the best of my knowledge, I think most of RA not listed will go towards elective credits.


My plan is to register for the cheapest TECEP exam and get unlimited evaluations as a  enrolled student. 


I read somewhere on the forum that you can pay for the TECEP exam and not take it for the unlimited transcript evaluation, is this still true?

@smtGate, Nice addendum plus template, that's a good plan, start with the Sophia.org classes until you have completed them by following the degree template link you have above. Go get those classes done and then do the Study.com ones, complete one provider at a time by finishing classes that go towards the BACS and BSBA... Yes, that's the Medical Terminology TECEP, just for $52, you get enrolled after 10 days and you get the entire year with extra benefits of being a student.

Your plan needs quite a bit of work.

The CS electives are not free electives, so Micro/Macroecon can't go there. You need 4 UL courses and 2 LL courses. 

UL Study.com MIS, Man. DB, Systems A,  Then Software Eng. at Saylor or TESU. Or take Network Tech TECEP.

Decide if you are going to do the flat-rate term at TESU or not.

It looks daunting, but each assignment is actually the only one sixth of the total score, so if you put effort into maximizing your quiz scores and exam score, then you should be able to complete the easier assignment and "skip" the harder one, meaning you turn in a document explaining that you accept a score of 0.

@smtGate, there are so many ways to slice things with TESU, you're going to need the flat rate of 15 credits, if that is one of the classes you want to take, sure. Just make sure to create a plan of what your 15 credits are going to be and if you can handle it... It may be best to have cap/cornerstones and 3 easy classes or e-packs of your choice.

I always recommend applying to TESU and sending in transcripts as soon as you are reasonably sure you want to go there. TESU changes their catalog once a year and applying will lock that in. They also change transfer equivalencies and policies from time to time. If your transcript has already been evaluated, you are insulated from those changes. Finally, it helps to see your transfer courses in TESUs academic evaluation as you plan your way through to graduation.

TESU only evaluates two transcripts upon application. Since you have more, you should become an enrolled student by registering for the 1cr Medical Terminology TECEP. Don't take the test! Just register for it. By not taking the test, you can register for it again if you ever need to extend your enrollment.

Thank for the advice guys, I going back to the drawing board and rethink my approach. 

A quick question about how to register for TESU TECEP. Do I apply for admission as Non-matriculated student or just regular undergrad admission?

Reading TESU policy, I can only register for it twice, so I have a max of two years before I have to take an class at TESU.

Just apply, either would do, regular admissions is what I did way back when. I would get you to send all transcripts to TESU including anything in ACE/Credly, then sign up for the $52 Medical Terminology TECEP, and forget that. Continue to do your remaining classes from your spreadsheet until you're ready to take the flat rate...

Do NOT apply as a non-matriculated student! It complicates things for later. Apply as a regular student for the degree you want.
