TESU BA CS Help
#11
Check if they want a minimum grade for Calculus I. I usually see schools requiring at least a C, and an ungraded version would need special approval.

Still might be worth looking into. They also have additional CS classes that could work for you, but I'd check with both Study.com and TESU first.

That is not one of the credit-bearing courses, though we know they are actively working on adding new courses and getting their existing ones approved for ACE/NCCRS credit recommendation.

Currently, the only official for-credit CS courses at Study.com are:
  • Computer Science 102: Fundamentals of Information Technology
  • Computer Science 103: Computer Concepts & Applications
  • Computer Science 302: Systems Analysis & Design
  • Computer Science 303: Database Management
They do offer other courses that come in as computer science related (CIS/COS at TESU), but they're generally variations on Intro to Computers or Management Information Systems.
Working on: Debating whether I want to pursue a doctoral program or maybe another master's degree in 2022-23

Complete:
MBA (IT Management), 2019, Western Governors University
BSBA (Computer Information Systems), 2019, Thomas Edison State University
ASNSM (Computer Science), 2019, Thomas Edison State University

Study.com has a Data Structures & Algorithms course that is showing as credit eligible but I can't find it listed in either the ACE registry or NCCRS course page. Still might be worth looking into. They also have additional CS classes that could work for you, but I'd check with both Study.com and TESU first. If that doesn't work out, Westcott has a Discrete Structures class specifically designed for Computer Science students that's half the cost of what you're going to pay. If you took that one, you'd get credit via a transcript from Brandman University (a regionally accredited university.) Good luck!

At Study.com, you'll know a course is credit-bearing if it has a round little green symbol next to it: https://study.com/academy/goal/transfera...redit.html

Otherwise, it's not credit-bearing, just a course that you can take.  This course also says "new lessons are still being added" meaning it's not complete.

Also, Westcott's Discrete Structures class does not seem to meet the requirements for Data Structures.  It seems like a "Pre Data Structures" to me, but I could be wrong.

It'd sure be great of those other CS Study.com courses (esp. Data Structure, Computer Architecture, AI and Operating Systems) would get ACE approval.
