Arnold Fletcher Award
The Arnold Fletcher Award recognizes Thomas Edison State University bachelorâs degree graduates for achieving excellence in nontraditional learning. Award recipients are selected from each graduating class. The following areas are examples of appropriate nontraditional learning modes:
Credit for courses taught
Thomas Edison State University Courses (online, Guided Study and e-PackÂ)
Licenses/Certificates/Registries
Military training evaluated by the American Council on Education (ACE)
ACE
Prior learning assessment (PLA)
Testing programs
Students selected for the award are required to have earned a minimum total of 90 credits from nontraditional learning.

Nope, nothing special. Mine came in after the diploma, too. Maybe everyone gets one!

Is it just me or could this kind of be seen as a backhanded compliment award? Like, hey, here's this award for graduating without actually going to college! I have mixed feelings on this one because, hey, an extra blurb for my resume. I just kinda hope employers don't look up what it means...

I received one too. I just did the minimum credit for residency at TESC using TECEP's and the Capstone. Looks good on a resume. I wrote something like "Recipient of Arnold Fletcher award for academic achievement"
