Hi all!
I'm starting to take CLEPs and Dantes. I also am planning my upper level credits through TESC although I haven't enrolled yet. I'm hoping to have all finished between Jan and June of 2014.
Through my readings on this forum I had mapped out using credit from FEMA courses for 7 upper level credits. However, I can't find them all on the FEMA website. Then I became concerned that all the info I have may be old and that TESC may not even accept them for UL credit.
The courses:
Radiation emergency management
Modern emergency radiation response
Radiation response team
Professionals in emergency management
Emergency response to terror
Community safety
Fire service supervision
Can anyone tell me if these courses or their substitutes are currently accepted as UL credit at TESC? Are there any other courses? I need all 33 UL credits and was hoping to get these 7 for free!
Thanks a lot for any advice!

This is the current list of what is accepted and what it is worth:

I see two courses that are upper level on there. Hope that helps.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Why do you need 33 UL credits? The most UL credits I've seen required in a TESC program is 18, and those are only required in the area of study (major). Unless you're majoring in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, FEMAs will only count as free electives.

You do not say what degree you are going for. The two below are the only ones I see possible for upperlevel credit at TESC and as Sanantone said those would only be for those 2 degrees
Radiation emergency management and Modular Emergency Radiological Response Transportation Training

I guess I don't! I'm trying to figure out what degree to get and what I need. I thought I'd read somewhere on here that I needed 33 UL- so glad I don't. I have 100+ credits all LL. Now I just need help finding out what they're good for!
