TESC-regsiter for two terms at once
#1
I am currently enrolled for 9 credits for the September term.Would I be able to register for a course in the October term while I am still taking courses for the sept term?

IMHO, Yes, but it's a heavy load (WA's, midterm, final, possible DFs) . If you want more...test!! If there are exams available that fit your degree plan you could easily knock out 3-4 exams (9-12cr) in 3 months vs another 3cr course. More bang for the buck!

Either way, enjoy your studies!

Very gutsy. There's no way I would be able to handle that load, especially with my work schedule and family time. One class at a time for me. Good luck in your studies.

Did you give this a shot? How did it pan out?

Just curious because I could see myself giving something like that a shot.

I'm currently almost complete with the first month of taking nine credits.I start my new 3 credit course next week,so far it has been very demanding and very frustrating. For the most part it hasn't been that bad.

I'm 99% sure they're going to tell you no unless you pay a second enrollment fee to join a second track. More than once I've heard students miss the enrollment period and are told that they are SOL for registration, that they have to wait until the next block starts. I could be wrong, but I don't think they allow the overlapping at all.

If you are currently enrolled, then you are asking the wrong people Smile Shoot an email, or make a call to someone at the school. Then, let us know what the answer was, for future students to reference.

Hi Cook,

I was under the impression the OP was moreso asking if it was possible to stagger semesters than the exact date of registration. And it seems from his last email he was able to get into the course in time.

But I wanted to address your last statement, yes they do allow overlapping semesters. I have had many classmates over the past year who do it all the time. Mostly it has been full timers who wanted to avoid too many midterms/finals falling at the same time.

Separately, for the record, I am currently enrolled in the BSBA program.

Regarding overlapping, I'm on my third (and final) TESC course but I overlapped the first two courses.

Looks like the maximum allowed course load by TESC is 12cr a term. Obviously this doesn't include testing out, but yeah. See under "Course Load."
