Interesting take on CLEP exams and a quick mention of TESC from my local newspaper. Looks like two locals just got their TESC degrees while finishing high school:
CLEP tests allow young students to pile up college credits | Star Tribune
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Awesome article, thanks for sharing!

The most interesting part of that article is that someone makes money off of seminars and consulting telling parents how their kids can earn credits before college.

I think she might be a member of this board. She is, but she hasn't posted in about two years.

I wish at this point TESC would drop the whole "exclusively for adults" in their marketing and the "21+ age requirement" which is easily waived it seems. Having young graduates is a positive, especially the ambitious and willing to succeed that TESC inherently attracts. It helps to have alums, no matter the age, but especially younger ones go out there and gain prestige and credibility for the college through their accomplishments as they pursue graduate programs and excel in their fields of employment.

These kids make me feel ashamed that I'm still procrastinating on my homework for my last two classes.

Despite the success stories we read on here and in the news, young people have a high failure rate in online courses.
