Regarding the calculator -- they could make it clearer by simply adding testing credits in the field where they mention the transfer of credits from regionally accredited schools. Though a calculator is not expected to be 100% accurate, to be several thousand dollars off since there is nowhere to put in DSST/CLEP, etc. is a bad move on their part, especially since the calculator is so "there."
The free FEMA credit option is indeed nice, though I have absolutely no interest in anything FEMA offers. The only reason I'd take FEMAs is because they are free, and I really would like to learn things of interest to me along the path to getting a degree. So FEMAs appeal to me, but they don't appeal to me. I do think they are a great option for people who want multiple free credits.
At any rate, it is nice to know that test credits transfer in to TESC free, as that is significant.
